Technicalities - Glass

Standard Glass - 2mm or 3mm: Suitable for most framing. Choose 3mm for larger frames or where extra rigidity is required.

Perspex - 2mm or 3mm: Suitable for most framing but particularly useful if you wish to send your frames through the post or via a courier. Choose 3mm for larger frames or where extra rigidity is required.

Tru Vue Conservation Clear® Glass - UV Protection - 2mm:This is essential for conservation framing as it blocks 98% of harmful UV rays (though care should still be given to avoid direct sunlight, fluorescent light, high heat or humidity).

Schott Mirogard® non-reflective glass – 2mm: A completely transparent special glass with an anti-reflective coating on both surfaces. This high-grade special glass is manufactured using the Sol-Gel process in the world’s most advanced dip-coating plant. It is absolutely color-neutral and reflections are reduced to approximately 1% compared to 89% for normal glass. Inaddition, unlike other non-reflective glass with tends to be milky in appearence, Schott Mirogard is nearly invisible under normal viewing circumstances. The result: the brilliance of colors in works of art is reproduced without any losses in quality.
